About

Greenhope is a green technology social enterprise with a mission to bring innovative and useful eco-friendly products and services to the communities through collaboration with various parties to systematically address plastic waste problems. There's no single solution that will be able to fix all plastic waste pollution problems. Each will be suitable to solve certain types of plastic waste (e.g. Recycling PET bottles, Reusable personal bags, etc.). Our bio-based, biodegradable solutions philosophy, Return to Earth, is suitable to address the myriad of items that are too small, too contaminated, and uneconomically viable to be recycled at the end of life (think snack packaging, garbage bags, seedling/polybags, etc.). Our solutions bring positive environmental and social impacts at once. By developing locally source biomaterial technologies, we bring positive environmental impact through two things: 1. from the source standpoint our bio resins have 30% less carbon equivalent footprint compared to conventional plastic, and 2. from the end-of-life perspective, our technologies will biodegrade / compostable into H20, CO2 and biomass safely within short 3-12 months depending on the environment and microbes. By sourcing the starch from farmer cooperatives at a premium, Fair for Life (by Swiss IMO fairforlife.org) certification and price, we increase the prosperity and living standards of Indonesian farmers. For every 200 tons of our technologies, we positively impact ~500 farmers and their families. Our solutions are competitive and affordable among other major bioplastic providers, have high functional properties, as well as have environmental efficacy compared to conventional plastics.
