About
DePoly is tackling the plastic problem via its enhanced chemical recycling technology that converts post-consumer PET plastic back into its main raw components (PTA and MEG). The process uses green, commercially available chemicals, at room temperature, without the need to pre-wash, pre-sort, or separate out other plastics. The raw material can then be sold back to the industry, so that new virgin-quality plastic items can be made, creating a truly circular plastic economy.
By creating virgin-grade PET plastics from waste instead of oil, DePoly is minimizing the dependency on Earth's natural resources and lowering our carbon footprint. Moreover, the unique technology makes it possible to recycle post-consumer products that normally cannot be recycled, reducing the amount of single-use products and ultimately diverting PET plastic waste from ending up in the environment.
