About

ClimateSeed's idea comes from the willingness to leave a better world to the next generations. ClimateSeed's core mission is to accelerate the fight against global warming by supporting organizations in their net-zero emissions trajectory. ClimateSeed is your trusted partner to measure, reduce and report your GHG emissions as well as source premium carbon reduction projects. Launched in 2018, it has now become an established market player working with 200+ clients. ClimateSeed combines carbon expertise with innovative technology to guide you through your decarbonization process and maximize your positive impact on the environment. We transform this tedious exercise into a one-stop digital experience designed by our experts. Our digital platform centralizes all relevant data to precisely calculate your carbon footprint in line with current regulations. You can also engage with your stakeholders by giving them secured access to the platform to enter their own relevant data. Our dedicated team helps you measure both your direct (scope 1) and indirect (scope 2 and 3) emissions. After all GHG emissions have been accurately measured, we help you define your reduction strategy. Our expert consulting services will help you set Science-based reduction targets adapted to your company. To track your reduction efforts over time, we produce auditable reports that are in line with the methodological framework of your choice (GHG Protocol, or regulatory GHG assessment). As some GHG emissions are impossible to reduce, you can compensate for your residual emissions by choosing one or more of our premium projects. Today, ClimateSeed's project portfolio includes 30+ projects in more than 20 countries. Projects either avoid or remove carbon emissions, while simultaneously supporting local economies and communities. To be selected, all projects pass a three-step screening process to ensure their robustness in terms of integrity and financial viability. Projects must (1) be certified by an international or national recognized standard (e.g. Gold Standard, VCS, Plan Vivo), (2) go through a strict due diligence process (i.e. anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism and reputational analyses) and (3) be reviewed and challenged by ClimateSeed’s external Sustainability Committee, composed of carbon market experts and academics. Our team has the ambition to generate the maximum positive social and environmental impacts that can benefit our ecosystem and local communities. Beyond climate change, ClimateSeed is also committed to tackle social challenges linked to the UN SDGs such as gender equality, education and inequality.
