Member - C-Power

C-Power is an ocean energy company providing clean power at sea—from 10 watts to 10 megawatts—to remove the use of carbon-based fuel offshore. We are a global leader in ocean energy systems, applying the experience and knowledge gained over the last ten years of R&D to design, develop and deliver power solutions that meet customer needs. Our focus is delivering products that provide ‘local’ power, data transmission, and real-time communications capabilities where none exists today. Our unique combination of proprietary technology, design expertise, and ocean energy experience delivers decarbonization, significant cost savings, and other capabilities not currently available in the offshore market. We have recently sold our first unit.

About

The ocean economy 2.0 is coming. Version two is green, electric, digital, robotic, autonomous, and now more than ever, it’s all about doing more for less money and with less carbon. However, all stakeholders in the ocean—customers and their suppliers—face the same problem: power availability. On land, power is everywhere. At sea, it’s a different story. Quoting a large fleet operator: “I need a plug in the ocean to do what I want to do”. For any marine operation or system, power must be brought to or be a byproduct of the offshore activity. Today, this is handled with liquid fuel, natural gas, or batteries. However, these legacy solutions can’t fulfill the needs of the future ocean economy. New enabling concepts are coming, such as resident subsea vehicles that don’t need expensive, carbon-emitting, fully-manned vessels, or subsea production equipment powered by renewable energy resources. Customers and suppliers are having to react and innovate, improving technology and service offerings to meet their and their customers’ operational C3 (cost, complexity and carbon) goals. C·Power makes power at sea. Our products provide power for remote offshore systems—from 10 watts to 10 megawatts—to remove the use of carbon-based fuel offshore. We are a global leader in ocean energy systems, applying the experience and knowledge gained over the last ten years of R&D to design, develop and deliver power solutions that meet customer needs. C·Power’s products deliver a communications, data, and power-enriched environment, offering substantially lower costs-of-ownership/operation and reduced carbon footprints, while enabling much greater use of autonomy and other capabilities restricted by a lack of available power. Our products are the clean, offshore gensets, data servers, and communications hubs of the new ocean economy. For the customer, the value proposition is: (a) power where there is none, (b) replacement of vessel/diesel power with renewables, and/or (c) cheap clean backup power for redundancy within critical systems.
