About

AZA aims to solve one of the world’s largest challenges: how can we store energy in a way that is sustainable, economical, and can end our reliance on fossil fuel? Built with materials that are inexpensive, abundant, and safe, zinc air batteries have always had great potential. They have been used as primary batteries for over one hundred years. But the problem was that they could not be recharged electrically. To enable the sustainable and plentiful energy our world needs, AZA Battery’s mission is to build inexpensive, electrically rechargeable zinc-air batteries as a superior, cost-effective, and eco-friendly alternative to lithium and lead acid batteries, catering to diverse energy storage needs.
