About
Together with over 80 partners from industry, trade and science, the Alliance Future Tires (AZuR) is committed to a sustainable tire circular economy in Europe. New tires that are as sustainable as possible are used for as long as possible through repair, regrooving or retreading. End of life tires from EU countries are then recycled or chemically recovered in a climate-friendly manner in Europe.
With the consistent reuse and recycling of used tires, in line with the EU Circular Economy Action Plan and the priorities of the waste hierarchy, over 3.5 million tons of waste can be avoided annually across Europe, hundreds of thousands of tons of CO2 emissions saved, natural resources conserved, supply chains shortened and dependence on raw material imports reduced - particularly important in geopolitically uncertain times.
The AZuR success model of a circular tire economy is attracting attention worldwide.
