About

With the increasing size of farms, it is becoming increasingly difficult to monitor crops using conventional farming methods. As a result, and in order to avoid what can be huge losses, farmers all too often use phytopharmaceutical products throughout their farms as a preventive measure. These practices have major consequences in economic terms (costly products), environmental terms (water, air and soil pollution) and health terms (contact with harmful products). To remedy this, Abelio is proposing an autonomous system for daily monitoring of farms. We are developing a solar-powered drone and a multi-source data analysis technology (drone, satellite, weather stations, agronomic models) that can anticipate and detect the main problems on the farm (diseases, pests, lack of water, etc.). In this way, we not only enable farmers to monitor the health of their farms on a daily basis, but above all to receive a daily diagnosis and advice on the treatment to be applied (what product, what dosage, when, where). Farmers can then optimise their use of pesticides, water and fertilisers, according to the real needs of their crops.
