Identification

Waste to value: Turning a traditional industrial waste into valuable, low-carbon engineered building products. The world has an insatiable appetite for cement. SonoAsh’s unique and patented technology provides the opportunity to reduce the massive greenhouse gas emissions associated with virgin cement production by recycling traditional waste and replacing cement clinker with a low-carbon, alternative material that delivers improved strength characteristics. Additionally, the SonoAsh process remediates the legacy, long-term, environmental issues associated with industrial waste in storage, improving groundwater and creating new clean technology jobs. There are millions of tonnes of material in storage globally that can reduce the emissions associated with cement production and help build future green infrastructure.

  • For each tonne coal ash processed, approximately 0.10 of the tonne contains valuable critical metals and minerals that are produced with no CO2 footprint
03.

The Financial benefits

  • Each SonoAsh 400,000k + tonne facility creates more than 100 jobs in rural communities
