Sign upA new wave energy transmission for subsea power
WITT energy harvesting by WITTEnergy implemented by United States Dept of Energy, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Seattle (United States) in 2023
The financial benefits are many, a huge reduction in maintenance costs, i.e. an average ship uses 350 tonnes of CO2 to get out and replace a battery, also health and safety for divers in remote and difficult locations. Our system will constantly top up power from all wave motion a WITT WEC 6D offering power to island communities, and remote locations where mains power is costly.

WITT harvests motion and turns it into power, zero emissions in all water, even subsea, lowering the carbon emissions.
A new wave energy transmission for subsea power
Capturing and making use of Naturally Occurring Motion Energy (NOME) for electricity remains a key challenge. WITT Energy addresses this challenge by taking the motion in water, wind and humans and turning it into electrical power which can be stored and called upon when needed. The Solution uses naturally occurring motions, such as those generated by water currents, to generate electricity by capturing energy from all six degrees of freedom. The system is zero emissions, recyclable and scalable, with units able to be built from centimetres to metres from standard industry parts. An example of the Solution in practice is the harvesting of sub-sea water motion & turning it into power to provide a solution for the aquaculture industry. This has huge potential for sectors such as fish farms, and could replace polluting diesel generators with clean energy.
