Sign upA remote-controlled robot for the protection of the marine environment
The initiative aims to provide a robot solution to facilitate the protection of the marine environment from pollution of which 80% results from human activity near water bodies. Most of these pollutants are plastics (bottles, bags, packaging, cotton stems ...) but also glass (bottles), metal (cans, boxes) as well as micro-releases of oils (iridescence on the surface of the water).
IADYS designs, develops and delivers Artificial Intelligence & Robotic innovations. The first product is the Jellyfishbot: a small robot that collects floating waste and oil spills. The Jellyfishbot has been successful cleaning several accidental oil pollutions, it is also regularly used on different industrial sites. A new version of the Jellyfishbot, totally autonomous, is currently under development in a testing phase. This new version will revolutionnize the way to decontaminate water on a market where manual collection is still mainly used (hand net with a boat). It will improve the work conditions of employees and the efficiency of cleaning operations. It will also pave the way to new applications using cooperation between several robots to clean wider areas more efficiently.
