Nowadays the electricity network is easily accessible in almost all our cities where a large part of them have large infrastructures; but when we refer to roads with difficult geographical conditions or interurban roads we find smaller electricity network infrastructures or even none at all. This type of roads are the ones that get more traffic accidents, and Solar Intelligent Lighting (S.I.L.) has the potential to increase road safety. S.I.L. is a self-managed solar LED lighting solution; its solar panel feeds a Lithium battery that allows for short charging cycles, increasing its durability and efficiency. This solar LED lighting solution not only has advantages in its installation but also in the consumption and the amount of CO2 generated. The potential impact is the reduction of CO2 pollution and above all the security, providing lighting to areas where it is not available due to lack of resources or geographical conditions. With a single, not very high investment they can obtain at least 10 years of lighting without energy or CO2 costs to generate it. By providing security in these areas, mobility is increased and with it progress.
