REEBIRTH has designed a digital platform that helps to connect buyers, refurbishers and sellers of refurbished appliances in contact with each other in Africa. The REEBIRTH platform encourages the creation of new circular economy sectors, which sectors of the circular economy, which in turn contribute to the emergence of more responsible consumption habits in Africa. 98% of Africans can't afford to buy new smartphones and 95% of smartphones in use are second-hand. With market growth driven by Africa's young demographics, Africa is the fastest-growing market in the world! Despite this, the sector suffers from non-transparent practices (high prices and poor product quality). REEBIRTH aims at encouraging the creation of new circular economy channels which, in turn, contribute to the emergence of more responsible consumption habits.
