Description

FlyV is one eminent startup in Europe on Regional Air Mobility: Their aim is to connect European Cities, by the air, using Zero emission aircrafts, to lower dramatically pollution (compared to Fuel Car and standard airline connections) at similar cost but in shorter time than with train connection: Save time and pollution. We have signed a cooperation agreement, through which we set up the final performances et equipment of our 6S aircraft, and they finalize their Business Model, based on our imputs. Same type of agreement and cooperation has already been setup with key actors in our first market for the 4S version (Professional flying schools), but with FlyV, we cooperate on a much more impacting capacity in term of de-carbonisation of the transportation.

Impact & Result

Compared with an equivalent 6seater conventional aircraft, Dragonfly 6S is saving more than 200 To of CO2 per year in intensive professional use, as Air Taxi. It also provides a 400.000€ cost saving per year, meaning about 2 years payback time, due to maintenance and fuel cost.

Solution Spotlight

A pure Green Hydrogen Electric Plane, using on the revolutionary Architecture, called Distibuted Electric Propulsion, based on integrated, autonomous propulsion units, called POD. These POD's are the key of this new architecture: Because they are using small independent Fuel cells and Hydrogen tanks, away from the Cabine, they provide a high level of safety in all flight configurations. In addition to Reliability and Safety, Hydrogen POD's are guaranteeing a 40% cost reduction, thanks to electric propulsion, compared with current Petrol Engines planes for equivalent performances. Dragonfly 4 Seater has been developed with the key market players of the first targeted area: The professional Flying schools for an entry in service in 2027. Dragonfly 6S is currently engineered on the same plateforme, to fit the needs of Air Taxi Companies (Regional Air Mobility) in operating flexible 3 hours max flights at 300km/h, at lower cost and Zero pollution.
