City of Sens
Sens
The City of Sens (28,000 inhabitants) in Burgundy, wanted to optimize the on-street and off-street parking journey of its citizens. They put in place (in two phases) 20 proprietary smart detectors analyzing street usage by cars, electric vehicles, vans and motorcycles, as well as 4 display signs guiding citizens through the city, and a free mobile app made available for retailers and care services.
- Reduced on-street parking search time by 67%, significantly improving operational efficiency.
- Enhanced employee productivity by reducing parking search time, equating to a gain of 500 work hours annually.
Cocoparks develops a turnkey solution for cities to better manage the curb, in order to reduce by 10% urban pollution as well as increase significantly the accessibility of the city centers. The proprietary solution is based an AI-based sensor analyzing the urban environment locally (fully GDPR compliant) and in real-time, a SaaS platform so the city can steer the curb and an app for the citizens and users of the infrastructure. This enables cities to solve issues such as unsafe delivery vans being double-parked because of cars parked in delivery spaces, electric cars looking to park at a charging station occupied by a vehicle that is not plugged in, drivers turning around endlessly in the city center looking for a parking spot, which represents an important ratio of city circulation. In addition, continuous parking that prevents other people from reaching local retailers is avoided. The solution can also be helpful for the detection of dangerous scooters that have fallen to the ground and are obstructing traffic and reducing the impact of construction sites on mobility in city centers.
