1/3 of CO2 emissions in France come from buildings, and of these, heating and air conditioning are responsible for 75%. In response to this situation, Accenta is simplifying the decarbonization of building heating and air-conditioning thanks to geostorage combined with AI. Geostorage uses the thermal capacity of the soil at shallow depths via probes. The earth is then used as a battery. During the summer, heat is injected into the ground to heat the building in winter. Conversely, winter's cold is stored to cool the building in summer. AI algorithms enable Accenta to anticipate heat requirements and adapt to the behavior of the building and its users, so as to only de-stock to meet these needs, no more and no less. Instead of acting reactively, AI gives way to predictability, enabling the solution to achieve energy performance at lower cost.

The Environmental Benefits

  • 98% of the French territory is eligible for a geostorage facility
  • Geothermal storage yield is close to 100%
  • Up to -80% in energy consumption for heating and cooling buildings
  • Up to -95% CO2 emissions for heating and cooling buildings

The Financial Benefits

  • Up to 10 times less expensive than traditional renovation alternatives
  • A return on investment of between 5 and 15 years
