The solution is solving the lack of profitability of electric cargo bikes. Current cargo bike solutions are designed by using bicycle-grade components which are not suited for professional use, this increases the number of mechanical failures and reduces the ability of cargo bikes to replace Vans for last-mile deliveries. Yakbike solution, on the other hand, has been designed around a proprietary industrial-grade electric powertrain that does not require a chain, a gearbox or a differential transmission to operate. This technical approach reduces the overall number of mechanical components subject to wear, and increases the reliability of the solution and its profitability. The materials and manufacturing techniques used are very well democratized around the globe, this makes it possible for the solution to be easily manufactured locally.

- •The solution can carry loads of 250 kg for 50 km a day at an operational cost of 0.27€/km versus 1.41€/km of the mainstream alternative (Diesel Van)
- •Lifecycle manufacturing CO2 emission of 4.5 gCO2/km for the solution compared to the 28 gCO2/km of a Diesel Van or the 34.5 gCO2/km of an Electric Van
- •85% reduction of CO2 emissions due to the fabrication of the solution compared to the mainstream alternative (Diesel Van)
