This solution aims at providing an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and intelligent temperature-controlled air cargo container so as to transport life-saving medicine in the safest and most sustainable way.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Empty weight of the container (TARA weight) is 400 kg which is significantly lighter than the competitive average of 650 kg. Resulting in a reduction of 30% in transport cost and 40% in Co2 emissions respectfully equivalent to 9 tons of CO2 for a return t
  • Has a total of 16 IoT devices to track every element of the container and product. This results in higher quality, theft prevention, and real-time/indexed tracking of product.
  • Co2 reduction by 40% due to weight reduction of 250kg in comparison to competitors, results in 9 tons of Co2 saved per trip and per container, CO2 savings due to Energy production (PV) not taken into account.

The Financial Benefits

  • Weight reduction of 250 per container will lead to lower air cargo transport costs, as weight (and volume) are defining the cost of air cargo. TCO of SAT is 30% cheaper than competitors.
  • Real time IoT will allow real time preventive management, and the intelligence / smartness into the container. 100% real time traceability is also expected to reduce insurance costs. But difficult
  • The 100% energy self-sustainability of the container will allow the pharmaceutical industry to target new delivery routes, as delivery routes will no longer be dependent on expensive Cold Chain infrastructure.
