squAIR-timber is a lightweight solution with the aim of saving weight, fuel, time and CO2 in air freight and transportation business. The objective is to replace heavy wooden beams/wooden pallets with a sustainable, environmentally friendly solution when building up air freight pallets (PMC)

squAIR-timber is 80% lighter than wood, made from recycled materials and built for multiple usages. Through a logo imprint, it can be assigned to the airline/ground handler, favouring its reuse. Indeed, the multiple uses of wood in air freight is complicated to implement as it is often used for other purposes once arrived at the destinations. squAIR-timber has an equal bearing capacity as wood and is water-resistant. After usage, it can be disposed of with the waste paper. The application of the lightweight solution saves time when building ULD pallets, as the employee no longer need a forklift and has to lift heavy wooden beams. Impacting positively sickness rate among employees thanks to its weight reduction, this solution will offer significant time and cost savings.
