A safe, sustainable and efficient hydrogen storage solution in solid form
The innovative solid-state hydrogen storage solution developed by MINCATEC Energy aims to offer a safe, sustainable, efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally sound option for decarbonizing the mobility, housing, and industrial sectors. Hydrogen is absorbed into a metal powder to create a solid called a metal hydride. Equilibrium is reached at 20°C with a residual pressure of 10 bars, which means that safety is drastically increased compared with hydrogen storage by compression or liquefaction, especially as there are no leaks and no energy input is required to store or release the hydrogen. Thanks to its patented thermal management, the solution offers unrivaled performance in terms of both hydrogen storage speed and outflow, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
