RHeX is an enhanced rotating heat recovery unit, specifically designed to work with dirty effluents also containing mechanical particulate, without losing efficiency. RHeX heat exchangers are a patented solution that can fill a gap in specific niche applications where it is possible to harvest energy from fluids with high levels of mechanical impurities or which, due to their properties, would normally foul or clog traditional heat exchangers.

The Environmental Benefits

  • A medium sized RHeX unit (to be used on a maximum of 14 m3/h flow of fluid) can recover 300 KWh or more of thermal energy
  • On average, in industry, a single exchanger can save 5.3 GW of energy per year, equivalent to approx 950 tons of CO2 emissions

The Financial Benefits

  • Normally, most customers enjoy a full ROI in less than 6 months.
  • If facing relevant increase in energy costs, some installations could (and some have) yield full payback in less than 2 months
