PUR Projet's Insetting Nature Based Solutions facilitates resilient and sustainable farming through agroforestry, creating stability for both farmers and companies.

The climate crisis puts farming communities at risk, especially in tropical regions. This will have an impact on the quality and quantity of key commodities, such as coffee, cocoa, rice, medicine plants, flower, fruits, cereals, fibers. If nothing is done these crops will be difficult to produce and millions of small scale farmers' livelihoods will be deteriorated. The PUR Projet Insetting approach consists of implementing Nature Based Solutions like agroforestry within agricultural supply chains to improve the farmers' resilience to climate change while restoring degraded land. By reconnecting companies and farmers' interests, Insetting creates shared value for the planet, people and companies. The technology is provided by Nature: the tree and its multiple benefits (carbon, soil, water, biodiversity). It is enhanced with agroforestry and regenerative agriculture techniques to combine crops and tree species effectively, as well as providing carbon monitoring expertise to value carbon removed from the atmosphere by the Insetting project. In short from a company perspective, Insetting means evaluating, reducing and offsetting its climate and environmental footprint by developing impactful socio-environmental projects within its value chain, and using them to build a sustainable society. Insetting is about harmonizing companies with Nature from within.
