One third of food products on the planet are thrown away without being eaten. In other words, one third of the energy and resources necessary to produce, transport and distribute our food is thrown in the trash. Food waste is thus a major environmental, social and economic challenge. Nevertheless a large part of food waste could be avoided. The Phenix App aims at reducing the waste of food businesses (grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries, convenience stores) by connecting them to consumers eager to save money and act for the planet. The consumers can buy themed baskets of unsold products on the Phenix App (fruits&vegetables, bread& pastries etc) at a reduced price from those businesses. The consumer pays on the app and goes to the business to pick up his meal.
