To meet this challenge, this solution is a microbiological bioremediation method to be used on site. Thanks to a specific mixture of selected micro-organisms and enzymes, the populations of natural micro-organisms present in water, soil, sludge, etc. are stimulated. By optimizing their functionality and their processes, it makes it possible to degrade hydrocarbon molecules correctly and quickly, to sequester and inertize heavy metals. Hydrocarbon is an organic molecule and is used by microorganisms as a food source. With PETROLSYNTH, hydrocarbons are degraded up to 95%-99% and this quickly and naturally. Heavy metals first sequestered by micro-organisms, then inertized via several strategies including chelation, inclusion in non-hazardous and energy-free molecules.
