From Denmark
Maturity stage TRL 9 / CRI 5-6 - Market competition driving widespread deployment &/"Bankable" grade asset class

The solution is developed to increase faster the production of renewable gas with agricultural (Cereals wastes, intermediate crops, livestock effluents) and industrial wastes. This solution is an important element in helping countries to meet the ambitions of ensuring generational renewal, strengthening agricultural and energy sovereignty and accelerating adaptation to climate change. Other advantages can be highlighted such as: additional income for farmers, development of a new agricultural model combining agriculture and energy, which contributes to the attractiveness of the profession and de facto to the renewal of generations, creation of a clean, local and sustainable energy (green gas), and acceleration of methods that are part of the agro-ecological transition thanks to the reuse of organic waste, which is present in large quantities on the territories

The Environmental Benefits

  • Each Renewable Gas Production plant can produce 200 GigaWattshours every year. It is equivalent to the annual consumption of 50.000 households for heating
  • 5.0 million tons of biomass are converted every year in energy and biofertilizers. With large scale facilities we offer the opportunity to farmers to access anaerobic digestion technology and improve their environmental foot print
  • Every year we avoid 425.000 tons Co2 equivalent by turning agriculture wastes into valuable energy and fertlizer products. GHG are reduced at the farmer's premise and by replacing natural gas with biomethane.
  • All our plants are REDII certified. By mean, they produce a biomethane with a carbon foot print below 22g eq./MJ compare to more than 200 for natural gas (fossil)
  • By collecting fresh animal manure we help farmers to reduce GHG emissions at their farm and by then reduce their carbon footprint. Every year, our Renewable Gas production facilities help to avoid 425.000 tons CO2 eq
  • We have observed a reduction of the Treatment Frequency Index of 30% on pesticides and herbicides by implementing sequential crops in the crops rotation
  • Every year, thanks to our large scale facilities we recycle the nutrients (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, etc.) contained in 5.0 million tons of biomasses

The Financial Benefits

  • Large scale renewable gas plants financially runs on extra-budgetary mechanisms (eg. Biomethane Purchase Agreements)
