The municipality of Herzliya

A public kindergarten building owned by the municipality in Herzliya near Tel Aviv installed the solution together with an automated control of the electric lighting to make the electric lighting become “secondary”, used only when the natural lighting power is not sufficient. The collector was installed during the renovation in the central play area of the building. It was designed with two natural light exit points to get equal dispersion over a large central play area of 50 square meters of the building. The total building area is 70 square meters for a one floor building.
The solution replaces the equivalent of 21 fluorescent light bulbs, each costing $50 and consuming 40 watts, to deliver 30,000 lumens of brightness over 70 square meters. This upgrade enhances efficiency, reduces energy use, and lowers maintenance costs, providing a more sustainable and cost-effective lighting solution.
Solight developed a highly efficient, fully static, patented, solar collector delivering healthy, energy-saving sunlight indoors which brings flexibility and a competitive price-to-performance ration. The model SOLIS Max, which is 30,000 Lumens, typically lights 60 sqm and is ideal for Commercial Buildings, but there are also other models that are compatible with various applications. SOLIS delivers constant full visible spectrum lighting from 08:00 until 16:00, with controlled heat or UV, offering the multiple recognized benefits of natural lighting, with electricity savings of up to 40%. The Solution makes homes and workplaces healthier and more energy efficient.
