MagREEsource is a proud member of the MAGCCINE project, funded by EIC Pathfinder. This initiative aims to optimize the vaccine cold chain using climate-friendly magnetic refrigeration technology. In collaboration with : Universidade de Aveiro, Universidade do Porto Helium 3 Technologies & Consulting, Institut Néel CNRS Univerza v Ljubljani, Faculty of Education, Universidad de Sevilla MAGCCINE consortium aims to develop a clean and efficient solid-state magnetic refrigeration system based on the rotating magnetocaloric effect (RMCE). These innovations will enhance the optimal preservation of vaccines, reducing losses and ensuring their effectiveness until they are administered.

Magnets are essential to electric motors and electromagnetic applications and play a key role in the energy transition and decarbonization of industry. MagREEsource was created in 2020 to recreate an industrial sector for permanent magnets based on rare earths using a circular model. After collecting end-of-life magnets from DEE or dismantling of wind farms, and thanks to innovative recycling technologies, without solvents or toxic discharges, MagREEsource transforms this new material to produce new magnets and magnetic solutions for European industry. Vertically integrated from recycling to the manufacture of new magnets, the company aims to be a sustainable and sovereign alternative to China thanks to technological innovation, industrial sovereignty and the circular economy
