In 2025, Hines strengthened their commitment to the circular economy by collaborating closely with their tenants at Workstation La Défense and Tour CBX. Together with Mokki, Certified B Corporation, they deployed a turnkey service that simplifies the resale, donation, and recycling of everyday items while ensuring full data traceability.
Through this initiative, tenants can easily give a second life to clothing and electronic devices by donating them to local associations. Many of these organizations provide employment and reintegration opportunities for people in vulnerable situations, amplifying the social impact of our efforts.
This partnership demonstrates how collaboration between property owners, tenants, and social enterprises can make sustainability tangible in the workplace, transforming buildings into active participants in a more circular and inclusive economy.
From January 2024 to 2025, this initiative enabled the recovery of 2,577 items, representing 6,396 kg of CO₂ saved. Beyond the environmental benefits, it also contributed to 18 days of professional reintegration work, supporting individuals in vulnerable situations through local associations.
Mokki aims at making the circular economy the new normal. Because we all have better things to do than spend hours trying to sell our wardrobe on the internet, finding the right place to recycle, or donating it, Mokki exists to take care of the whole process. Items can be dropped (clothes, toys, books, electronics) at the nearest Mokki space, they will be given a new life, from reselling to donation and recycling depending on the items' conditions.
