IES Hermanos d’Elhuyar

The Public High School “IES Hermanos d’Elhuyar”, in Logroño, implemented the Solution in the context of a major energy refurbishment with a modern ventilated façade of more than 2,000 m2. The Solution insulation material was installed. For this project, 60 mm-thick panels were custom-made, to reduce the construction waste, and increase the installation rate, and all offcuts and surpluses were recycled at the end of the installation. More than 2,800 kg of textile waste have been recycled in this project.
The thermal resistance of 1.72 m²K/W, which is 15% higher than wood fiber, cellulose, cork, or hemp of the same thickness, provides significant energy savings advantages by improving insulation. This enhanced thermal performance helps reduce heating and cooling costs, leading to greater energy efficiency and a more sustainable building environment.
Insulating one's home allows for reducing energy costs and consumption in addition to reducing polluting emissions and helping to conserve our planet. Additionally, the Solution allows greater comfort. GEOPANNEL thermo-acoustic insulation panels are very easy to install and are made from 80% recycled textile fibers. These products are 100% recyclable and have a low carbon footprint. They also have a long service life and pass the most stringent tests for thermal and acoustic insulation, tensile strength, abrasion, mold formation, toxic emissions, and reaction to fire. Installing GEOPANNEL panels allows for achieving maximum savings with environmentally friendly materials.
