The architects of the Supermix agency called on Dom'Innov to modernize the appearance, improve thermal comfort and reduce the energy costs of a school. With a surface area of 1230 m², the building has been completely restored to achieve a 50% reduction in energy expenditure. The South façade, made up of asbestos plates, was removed and replaced by a Blokiwood wall.
The energy consumption of the new building was reduced by 50%, decreasing from 170 kWh/m²/year to 85 kWh/m²/year. This significant reduction demonstrates the building's improved energy efficiency and sustainability.
Since 2012, Dom'Innov has been developing and manufacturing Blokiwood, a 100% wood pre-insulated load-bearing wall solution for the construction of prefabricated, tailor-made, biosourced and high-performance wooden houses. This product makes it possible to enhance species and sizes of wood not used in construction. The assembly of different modules (standard or tailor-made) allows the construction to be carried out like a Lego set. It is aimed at all players in the building industry and individuals, wood specialists or not.
