Maturity stage TRL 6 / 7 - Prototype demonstration 1:1

H2EOL provides a new solution for the city. Organized as a fleet, H2EOL could be used in town as a new public transport. If their batteries are full, the car could be plugged into the general electric system and provide energy thanks to his solar panels. In addition, H2EOL can be self-sufficient thanks to its solar panels, if it covers only 50 km per day. H2EOL is a part of a local ecosystem including green hydrogen production from water electrolysis. Hydrogen will be pressurized in caps of 1kg of H2 to supply H2EOL. The excess of hydrogen production could be used for other applications (bus, etc.). The structure of H2EOL is made out of composite materials. These materials reduce the total weight of H2EOL vehicles by 600 kg highly increasing its autonomy.

The Environmental Benefits

  • It assures a ZERO CO2 emission during hydrogen manufacturing
  • The implementation of 40 H2EOL on a territory can save about 160 tons CO2 equivalent per year,

The Financial Benefits

  • For the city, the payback time is 5 years (production, distribution, gas (H2 and O2), and mobility revenues)
  • For the users, it can save them ≈ 6000 €/year
