Sign upA dynamic glazing that electronically tints to control the daylight and heat in buildings
SageGlass aims at providing an elegant and sustainable alternative to conventional buildings' facade solutions for architects and builders looking at solving solar control challenges without sacrificing aesthetics, energy-efficiency or comfort. SageGlass dynamically adapts its tint in response to the weather conditions and the building's needs, to manage the daylight and heat in a smart way. Spaces always benefit from daylight and a free access to views to outdoors, without suffering from glare nor overheating. This thus results in reducing the building's energy use and improving the occupants' comfort and well-being.

Implemented by Schneider Electric in Grenoble (France) in 2020
Schneider Electric opted for SageGlass electro- chromic glass for the facades of its canteen, “Le Bistro” in their new flagship office building in the Grenoble region: IntenCity. 450 m2 of glass were installed and connected to the building management system (BMS) so that dynamic glass tints or clears automatically depending on temperature and occupancy and adapts perfectly to the Smart Building ecosystem. By controlling heat and light with precision, the system enabled to reduce the energy and maintenance costs of the canteen while creating a pleasant environment for employees to dine in.

SageGlass by Vetrotech Saint-Gobain International AG
Implemented by Greisch in Liège (Belgium) in 2022
In response to some employees’ growing discomfort in the buildings of Greisch, renovated in 2018, Greisch had set up a ventilation/air conditioning system which, due to frequent episodes of high heat, proved to be unsatisfactory. The totally glazed atrium (242 m²) of the Greisch buildings had to be equipped with occulting solutions in order to control the heat contributions, the disparities of temperatures between the various floors, as well as the glare on the computer screens. The GREISCH team chose the SageGlass Labeled Solution and its electrochromic glazing that automatically adapts its tint to the sun's path. Today, GREISCH is also reducing its energy bills by limiting its air conditioning needs and eliminating the maintenance costs associated with conventional shading devices such as blinds.

SageGlass by Vetrotech Saint-Gobain International AG
Implemented by Nestlé S.A. in Grenoble (France) in 2020
The world’s largest food company, Nestlé, has undergone a major renovation project for its headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland. The LightZone glazing Solution replaced the former solution combining glazing and interior blinds. In 2020, 4,400 square meters of dynamic glazing were installed to offer an optimal solar and thermal protection in the offices. On these facades, the modification of the glazing tint is done in an automated way via a central unit integrating various meteoro- logical parameters but also the time periods of occupation, the surrounding landscape and the function of the spaces.
