Micro Hydro Turbine - Small water turbines to produce energy in drinking water or irrigation networks

Based on pumps used as turbines (PATs), this solution allows both public or private water companies to generate energy in their own installations including tanks, water treatment plants, pressure reducing valves and many more.

The turbines can reach up to 25kw and they can be installed at any point of the water network as long as there are a circulating flow and pressure available. The generated energy can be used for self-consumption in any nearby installation (pumping station, treatment plant, etc) or directly sold to a local or national grid. The crew behind this solution will help users to evaluate the energy potential, calculate the economic payback and give support during the installation process including, if necessary, a commissioning service on the field for first start-up of the system. This solution offers grid-tied and off-grid solutions based on battery charging turbines. Thanks to this technology, it is now possible to generate energy with a turbine instead of wasting it in heat and noise in a valve.

Key features

  • Small water turbines up to 25 kW power
  • Flow up to 250 liters per second
  • Pressure drop up to 16 bar
  • 100% renewable energy production from a power source currently not exploited
  • For every kilowatt of hydropower installed, a reduction of 3.59 tons of CO2 per year is possible
  • All materials used for production are 100% recoverable in any recycling center

  • Payback between 3 and 6 years, depending on the use of the energy generated by the turbine
  • Each euro invested in our turbines can generate up to 7 euros of economic profit over its 25 years of life span
  • 100% savings on the energy bill thanks to our turbines for battery charging that guarantee power supply for facilities without a grid connection
