HotWaterQuickly - Ecological, and economical solution that delivers hot water in less than 2 seconds to the taps

The distribution of Domestic Hot Water (DHW) have many drawbacks. They are a source of discomfort, waste of water and energy, and a bacteriological risk. According to Enertech specialized in the energy performance of the building: “Between 35% and 60% heat of a domestic hot water production facility (DHW) is lost in the distribution, between the storage tank and the taps. Continuous operation loop distribution and widespread in apartment buildings are the main causes of these losses“. To tackle this challenge, the HotWaterQuickly delivers hot water instantly in less than 2 seconds to all taps. Indeed, in each building, a powerful motorized pump channels the hot water from the reserve, to inject it at high pressure (250 bars) into a very small section pipe (3.5mm diameter), which conducts the hot water at high speed (at nearly 100Km/h). This way, the water is provided very quickly into the customer taps.

Key features

  • Hot water reaches the customer’s tap within 2 seconds
  • The HWQ process is 10 times more economical and environmentally friendly than a recirculation loop
  • DHW production can be reduced by up to 50% (800Kwh / hour / year) thus reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by 10 tons per year for a residential building with 25 apartments
  • Allows to reduce the consumption of hot water up to 10 liters of water per day per person that will no longer be wasted waiting for hot water at the tap

  • HWQ allows the user to save around 110 € / year / apartment
  • 0-year payback period with an annual ROI of 18% in new buildings

Maturity Stage

  • Medium and large scale commercialization
  • Small scale commercialization
  • Initial market commercialization
  • Prototype testing in the real world
  • Prototype testing 1:1 in the lab
