Sign upA high-performing switch-disconnectors for pv and energy storage system applications
In the solar segment the utility scale solar plants are moving towards the 1500Vdc solutions from 1000Vdc. The need for the switch-disconnector is to be energy efficient and able to achieve the 1500Vdc disconnecting as low amount of poles as possible, which has an impact on the efficiency level as well as lowering the needed cabeling. OTDC switch-disconnectors range above 250A ensure reliable breaking power for every current level, enhancing safety, efficiency and simplicity. For 1500V DC systems, the basic configuration is two poles from 315A up to 800A (IEC 60947) and from 250A up to 600A (UL98B). The ratings from 800A up to 1000A for 1500V are achieved by the parallel connected poles. Both front and side operated models are available. Modularity of the OTDC Switch-disconnector allows to disconnect up to 3 1500Vdc circuits with only one switch. Optimized 2-pole DC switch-disconnectors for 1500V DC utility-scale photovoltaic power plants and for Energy Storage System (ESS) applications bring space savings efficiency with up to 64% reduced power losses compared to weakest in the market and better performance with DC-PV2 ratings.
