VALUEWASTE features the first complete solution to fully valorise urban biowastes into key strategic resources (proteins and fertilisers): a win-win circular approach which can be easily replicated
The Environmental Benefits
- •VALUEWASTE solution will produce more than 60,000 kg of protein every year
- •Reduction of GHG emissions (27000 CO2-eq/y following implementation, and 70% derived from the use of biogas instead of natural gas)
- •Through the installation of the three valorising chains, around 931 tonnes of urban biowaste have been collected and valorised
The Financial Benefits
- •Benefits estimated in €20 million/y for a plant optimised for 73,000 t of biowastes/y (population of 380,000-420,000)
- •Each of the installations (including the three value chains) will directly create around 40 new job positions
