Phase Change Materials (PCMs) are substances that absorb and release large amounts of thermal energy as they melt and freeze. When they melt, PCMs absorb thermal energy and utilize heat to undergo a phase change instead of increasing its temperature, storing latent thermal energy. In our panels, high-performance phase change materials (PCM) are incapsulated within a patented aluminum/ polymer film boasting high reflectivity and low emissivity. Our solution consists in a flexible, high thermal mass, reflective mat that absorbs and releases heat at specific predetermined temperatures. This solution helps maintain indoor temperatures and lowers energy use, which translates in cutting energy costs significantly. TI-Skin panels can be integrated in walls, floors and ceilings into pre-existent buildings or in new constructions; they are produced as mats, tiles or ready-to-apply panels coupled with plasterboard.

The Environmental Benefits

  • TI-SKIN uses advanced PCMs to regulate indoor temperatures, absorbing and releasing heat during melting and freezing cycles, keeping environments stable and cutting the need for energy-intensive heating or cooling.
  • Unlike bulky or rigid insulation materials, TI-SKIN is designed as a lightweight and flexible mat. This adaptability allows for quick and straightforward installation on walls, ceilings, or floors without the need for major structural changes.
  • Ti-Skin panels by Evoside use Phase Change Materials (PCM) to absorb and release heat, stabilising indoor temperatures. This can cut energy use by up to 30%, leading to a corresponding reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
  • TI-SKIN boosts building energy efficiency with PCMs that passively regulate indoor temperatures, cutting electricity demand during peaks, easing grid pressure, reducing emissions, and delivering long-term savings.

The Financial Benefits

  • TI-SKIN has no ongoing operational or maintenance costs, unlike traditional systems like heat pumps, which incur continuous energy and maintenance expenses. Therefore, TI-SKIN is more economical over time compared to mainstream alternatives.
  • While TI-SKIN has a higher upfront cost, it has no operational or maintenance expenses and lasts over 25 years, making its total cost of ownership much lower than alternatives like heat pumps that need regular upkeep and replacement.
