Maturity stage TRL 9 / CRI 5-6 - Market competition driving widespread deployment &/"Bankable" grade asset class

Today, 2.1 billion people still do not have access to safe drinking water. The situation will worsen by 2030 with more than 8.5 billion people on earth. The consequences of global warming will multiply and lead to water stress, water shortages and extreme natural events. Therefore, water is essential for sustainable and economic development. Without water and sanitation, people face nutrition, hygiene and health issues. SUEZ compact unit offers compact drinking water production plants, prefabricated in metal containers and equipped with the same technologies as a traditional plant made of concrete. The assembly of those compact plants is faster than for a concrete plant. Indeed, it only takes from a few days, or a few weeks for large.

The Environmental Benefits

  • 10 months delivery time, instead of 24 months for mainstream alternative
  • 10h per day without grid electricity thanks to solar panels
  • 10% reduction of energy consumed over the whole life of the plant
  • 23% reduction of GHG emissions

The Financial Benefits

  • 10 to 30% lower CAPEX
  • For a 16 000m3/d plant, reduction of the power cost by 30k€/year
