Seamonitor is a comprehensive, lightweight, easy-to-deploy system aimed at monitoring: bathymetry, halieutics, seabed nature and underwater vegetation. Acquiring environnmental data is a complex task. Especially when georeferencing is required. To build maps and monitor evolution of coastal area (climate change, erosion, posidonia field evolution,...) complex surveys are usually required, involving heavy ships and dedicated highly qualified staff just to get data in situ about ocean depth and seabed nature (sand, vegetation, rocks, ...). Monitoring is often required to measure the evolution fo the environnment after various climate events, human activity (ships in harbor moving sediments with propellers), currents and seasons. Thus, several mobilizations, transportations, and operations are planified to fullfill the need for environnemtal data. Thanks to Seamonitor, environment monitoring is now a plugnplay, environment-friendly and cost-optimzed task.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Seamonitor classification software is used daily by 13 Oceanographic Ships of the French Navy (SHOM) to make national grade maps.
  • Seamonitor hardware is light and easy to deploy, even by non hydrogaphers or specialist.
  • Seamonitor energy consumption is optimized and enables surveying for more than 8 hours
  • prevents more than a 65% GHG emission as compared to mainline alternative
  • 40% energy savings on operation mode
  • The Seamonitor classification software is used daily by 13 Oceanographic Ships of the French Navy (SHOM) to make national grade maps to better monitor the environment. No mobilization nor navigation of heavy ships or external staff is required for data ac

The Financial Benefits

  • 1 year payback time if more than 4 surveys a year are required
  • Output maps and results can be produced faster thanks to optimized tool chain
  • Up to 70% cheaper than mainline alternative.
