Refill Point by Eziserv Ltd
Implemented by Wrap in Swansea, Barnsley, Hartlepool, Carlisle and Glasgow (United Kingdom) in 2023

A consortium led by the Waste Resources Action Programme (ASDA British supermarket chain, Robert McBride, private label manufacturer, Oakdene Hollins, specialist consultants, Unilever, main brand producers and Eziserv, technology provider) launched a commercial trial of in store dispensing and refilling of retail packaging in ASDA stores in five UK cities. This trial introduced delivery of liquids from the point of manufacture to the point of sale and automatically dispensed the liquid into reusable/refillable packaging, generating live sales data and providing information directly to the supply chain.

Result

-96% plastic associated with the product delivery to consumers was achieved
