Earth observation solution using commercial airliner fleets for high quality, frequent, and low-cost data
The Solution turns airliner fleets into a platform for Earth observation data services: commercial airplanes are equipped with sensors, collecting earth observation data while flying their regular routes. Current solutions like satellites and drones are expensive to build, launch and operate and are often unable to provide the data frequency and quality required for many applications at an affordable price. The Solution provides affordable, high quality, and ultra frequent data for customers, enabling important environmental applications like forest fire monitoring and pollution mapping while providing an ancillary revenue source for the airlines.
