Sign upAn air-water heat pump that significantly cuts lifetime emissions in the building sector
NovaAir provides a sustainable, energy-efficient and easily integrable heating system for private households as well as commercial buildings, that is economically superior over the course of its lifetime. By allowing the NovaAir to run on the natural refrigerant propane instead of widespread synthetic refrigerants, its emissions are up to 700 times lower than those of refrigerants in conventional heat pumps. When compared to a Single Family Home running on gas or oil heating, 3500-4500 kg CO2-equivalents can be saved annually. Meanwhile, annual operating costs are halved, which drastically lowers costs during the estimated 30 year lifetime. The gain in energy efficiency stems from an intricate design made in Switzerland in combination with a digital platform, that allows for continuous optimization and seamless integration with solar panels and features of the “Smart Home”. The transmission of relevant data on machine health allows for faster and cheaper maintenance of the heat pump.
NovaAir Heat Pump by Regli Energy Systems AG
Implemented by Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics in Basel (Switzerland) in 2021
The Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics installed 3 NovaAire large heat pumps to heat their building and water in July 2021 in Basel. The implementation’s aim was to ensure a future proof technology is used within their premises, thus lowering electricity costs and reducing CO2 footprint. 10 weeks passed between the order and the installation of the 3 heat pumps by Regli Energy Systems.
Result
Saving approximately 8.5 tons of co2 per year compared to conventional large scale heat pump
Regli Energy Systems AG
We develop and commercialize sustainable heat pumps, that are up to 2000 times less hazardous than other heat pumps.
