The core technology of PhaBuilder is called next-generation industrial biotechnology, a high-efficiency biological manufacturing technology that utilizes extreme microorganisms (Halomonas) growing in special environments as chassis cells. The fermentation process does not require sterilization and can use seawater as a medium, making the entire biological production process open and continuous. Compared with traditional biological manufacturing, it reduces energy consumption by more than 50% and significantly improves production efficiency. Through gene editing technology in synthetic biology, we are reconstructing the substrate metabolism pathway of chassis cells, making microorganisms more suitable for industrial production. The ultimate goal is to achieve low energy consumption, high product purity, and simple equipment operation in the production process.
