Identification

This solution provides an affordable and significantly faster solution for testing and integrating diverse software-controlled devices into the grid while ensuring their safe operation in all conditions. The Microgrid Testbed with Generic Models uses a test-driven and model-based methodology which allows all relevant parties to create high-fidelity models of their renewable installations/microgrids (i.e. digital twins of physical sites) and use these models to identify and fix control software issues by automated testing, as well as to integrate devices and solve interoperability issues before commissioning using the simulation/emulation domain. This way, the solution represents one of the key enabling technologies for a rapid transition to a decentralized and digitalized grid which is also more stable and more resilient.
