Lombard Odier
Geneva
By 2024, Lombard Odier Bank will employ nearly 2,000 people in Bellevue, a village just outside Geneva, across six different sites. The bank has long embraced cutting-edge technologies to drive the ecological transition and meet its sustainability goals. As part of this effort, it has partnered with Droople to enhance water management in its new building. With Droople's technology, water-related data collected at every point of use will be digitized, giving Lombard Odier real-time access to track and report the environmental impact of its evolving consumption.
Thanks to the digitization of water-related data collected at every point-of-use, Lombard Odier Group will have real-time access to report its environmental impacts of its evolving consumption. This initiative supports the Group's commitment to sustainability, particularly at a time when scientists predict a 40% reduction in global water resources by 2030.
Today, more than 100 billion water assets remain offline, leaving vendors and operators blind to their performance (uptime, downtime, output, frequency of use, flow time, etc.), maintenance needs, and consumable replenishment. This lack of visibility leads to inefficiencies such as unplanned maintenance (30%), energy waste (20%), and financial impairment from water damage (over CHF 30 billion worldwide annually). Droople offers a full-stack IoT platform that combines patented edge devices (Droople iLink®), machine learning algorithms, and a modular platform. This system enables real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and automated consumable procurement. Droople retrofits existing water endpoints with sensors, providing valuable data on usage, performance, and maintenance needs. This unique approach, summarised as "Understand, Value, Manage," empowers stakeholders to reduce operational costs, extend asset lifetimes, and drive water-energy savings.
