Ideel Garden

Uzaje has been operating industrial washing for its customer Ideel Garden since 2021. Ideel Garden is a digital canteen where all meals are served in reusable glass jars, washed and endlessly reused. The customer is committed to a circular and virtuous economy. Ideel Garden provides connected fridges and 100% of the meals are freshed and produced locally. In 2023 Ideel Garden has reused +300K jars, representing a +50% growth vs 2022, and another +50% growth in the only Q1 2024. Uzaje is currently working on R&D and process automation to be able to boost productivity and industrialize reuse. Ideel Garden is fully satisfied of the partnership with Uzaje and has recognized of service quality and efficiency.
Through this partnership, Ideel Garden has saved 125 tons of glass waste, 110 tons of CO2 equivalent, 450 m³ of water, and 390,000 kWh of energy compared to single-use packaging. Additionally, Uzaje is recycling food waste from Ideel Garden, as customers cannot completely empty the jars. To achieve this, Uzaje collaborates with Moulinot, a French social enterprise that recycles food waste to produce biogas.
Uzaje was born of a conviction: that reuse must become a reality in our daily lives. We develop industrial solutions for the reuse of containers and packaging. Our main activity is industrial washing, and we design and operate washing centres to meet the needs of 4 types of customer: - Food industry - Mass distribution - Commercial catering - Contract catering We also support our customers in their transition to more sustainable packaging, by helping them choose containers, set up collection and logistics solutions and manage deposits. Our second activity is support for reuse: support and experimental costs (advice on containers, washing, logistics, setting up pilot schemes). Uzaje is recognised as an expert in industrial washing by the food industry. We have demonstrated our expertise in this field, having washed more than 250 type of packaging since our beginning (all containers and materials)
