This public service is led by ADEME, in partnership with Bpifrance, the Directorate General for Enterprises, CGDD (General Commission for Sustainable Development), CCI France, CMA France, Ecological Planning - SGPE, the Ministry of Ecological Transition, and the French Biodiversity Office.
This Service helps SMEs go green. It offers project ideas, funding options, and expert guidance. In France, it connects 787 companies monthly with the best investments and subsidies for their transition.
A Business Ecological Transition service, supported by a government or relevant public agency, helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) navigate their ecological transition. It enables them to identify priority projects, access public funding suited to their needs, and, if necessary, connect with advisors to support their sustainability efforts (1). This kind of platform serves as a hub for businesses to: 1. Explore ideas and initiatives for ecological transition, 2. Identify the most relevant national, regional, or local financial support, 3. Get expert guidance to implement their projects effectively. For example, in France, such a platform has enabled an average of 787 companies per month to take concrete steps toward ecological transition by connecting them with suitable investment and subsidy opportunities (1). This model can be adapted to different countries, leveraging government programs, private sector partnerships, and regional policies to support businesses in their sustainability journey (1).
