ESAT
Montfermeil
L’ESAT de Montfermeil, a medical and social establishment whose objective is the social and professional integration of disabled adults, used the Solution to introduce daylight into an extension of the building in 2017. Having a nice level of natural light in their work area was crucial for the occupants, as it improves their comfort and reduces their stress. 21 daylighting systems were installed: 18 in the work rooms with 6 Solatube per room and 3 in the corridor.
The installation of 21 daylighting systems at L’ESAT de Montfermeil in 2017 significantly enhanced the building's environment, providing natural light to work areas and corridors. This improvement increased occupant comfort, reduced stress levels, and created a healthier, more productive workspace for the disabled adults. By utilizing natural light, the solution also reduced reliance on artificial lighting, supporting energy efficiency.
TDDs have become the ideal solution for lighting interiors in a cost-effective, energy-efficient and eco-friendly way because they significantly reduce the need for electricity while keeping people connected to the outdoor environment. The incorporation of optical technologies significantly improves the way daylight is captured and delivered to interiors. Solatube Daylighting Systems are modular and easy to connect to ceiling systems. And unlike traditional skylights, they are designed to control the problematic aspects of sunlight. Glare and inconsistent light patterns are reduced. . They also screen infrared rays that can overheat interiors as well as ultraviolet rays that can fade furniture and fabrics.
