Sea Connect, based in the Var region of France, offers marine exploration services that take passengers to discover hidden coves, creeks, islands, and marine wildlife. Committed to preserving the marine ecosystem, Sea Connect sought a passenger transport vessel that would have zero impact on the seabed—producing no noise, vibrations, or odours. To meet these environmental standards, Sea Connect chose our M.9 Pro, a fully decarbonized transport solution for delivering eco-friendly and silent journeys.
The savings in CO2 and fine particles are considerable, given that Sea Connect sails every day, 8 months a year. This represents around 2,400 hours of totally carbon-neutral sailing.
Millikan Boats has imagined, designed and built an electro-solar passenger catamaran that is totally self-sufficient in energy. Designed for use by passenger transport professionals, this 9.5 m-long boat ticks all the sailing boxes: - Zero direct CO2 emissions - Comfort: No noise, no vibration, no smell - Safety - Pleasure at sea - Respect for the marine environment - Zero cost of ownership The Millikan Boats teams worked for two years to find the right combination of solar generation, storage and power consumption. Thanks to optimised hulls and a very light weight, the M.9 Pro is a passenger boat with virtually unlimited autonomy.
