Hublet
Floreffe
Hublet, a Belgian company specializing in the recycling of construction, demolition, and road waste, is also a key player in sustainability and recycling in Wallonia.
With two processing centers located in Floreffe and Hour, Hublet continually invests in staff training and research and development to stay at the forefront of the industry. In 2023, Hublet launched an ambitious project: to set up a materials recovery unit at its Floreffe site. This initiative aims to produce high-quality recycled materials on-site, further strengthening its commitment to the circular economy. This 3-in-1 equipment provides material scrubbing, attrition, initial scalping at 20 mm, and removal of floating materials. It’s a compact solution designed and produced by MS. In addition to recycling process water in a closed loop, our water treatment station automatically monitors and adjusts flocculation and coagulation levels.
The Save Sand by MS facility at the Floreffe site was designed to meet several strategic objectives: 1. The unit aims to process over 200,000 tons per year of materials previously deemed unusable. 2. It focuses on producing reconstituted sand directly on-site, tailored to the needs of new construction projects. 3. Including sizes of 4-8 mm, 8-16 mm, 16-20 mm, and over 20 mm. 4. The facility is designed to operate at a maximum feed rate of 180 tons per hour, 10 hours a day, 220 days a year, ensuring continuous production.
So far, quarry waste rock, as well as construction and demolition waste are mostly considered as Waste. However, spoils have a major asset: the sand. This natural resource, contained in concrete, is becoming increasingly depleted and scarce. But we still need it for new construction! Generated waste can become a valuable asset! There are indeed solutions for recycling. Our customers can make the most of their recycling and create a new source of income. Save Sand is a new generation of complete treatment plants, for the highest valorisation of recycled materials (quarry waste rock, as well as construction and demolition waste). It also represents a single, global offer covering the entire valorisation process of the products to be recycled! Our installations, therefore, make it possible to produce aggregates from demolition materials!
