Beginning regular operations in 2024, the plant will annually produce up to 2,500 tons of sustainable e-Fuels and e-Chemicals, which will replace 2,500 tons of fossil-based fuels and chemicals. The synthetic fuel mixture will be upgraded to e-kerosene for aviation, e-Diesel for shipping, and fuels for automotive traffic. With this plant, INERATEC is making a direct contribution to climate protection and creating a "blueprint" for many more power-to-liquid projects by INERATEC worldwide.
The plant will annually produce up to 2,500 tons of sustainable e-Fuels and e-Chemicals, contributing significantly to the transition towards a greener future. In addition, it will recycle up to 8,000 tons of CO2.
Every day we use products that are based on fossil raw materials. We are heavily dependent on fossil oil, causing massive CO2 emissions every day. As a society, we have decided to move towards a CO2-neutral world with fewer emissions and have recorded these decisions in the Paris Climate Agreement. Renewable energy and e-mobility are solutions that drive this sustainable future. But as time passes, it becomes increasingly clear that this will not be enough. Industries such as chemicals, (heavy) transport, shipping and aviation will continue to rely on hydrocarbons for quite some time for technical reasons. INERATEC provides modular chemical plants for Power-to-X applications and supplies sustainable e-fuels and e-products that can replace their fossil versions. Hydrogen from renewable electricity and greenhouse gases like CO2 are converted into e-kerosene, CO2-neutral gasoline, clean Diesel or synthetic waxes, methanol or SNG.
